Metazoa Brewing Co. is seeking a creative, sales-focused and results-driven self starter to join our Marketing & Events team. The Taproom Programming & Events Manager will oversee all marketing and event-related initiatives including (but not limited to) private or semi-private events, public taproom events, large-scale taproom marketing campaigns, event advertising, community partnerships and activations, and loyalty program growth. The ideal candidate is well-connected and aware of all local happenings, and ready and willing to connect with those groups to drive taproom business. He or she must be a creative, revenue-driven “gunner” with excellent interpersonal skills who is not afraid to build (and subsequently tackle) aggressive revenue goals, and serve as the single owner of all taproom programming and both private and public events.

 

  • Standard Hours: Monday-Friday ~9am-5pm + weekends/evenings, as needed for onsite presence during events

  • Full-Time: 40+ hours/week

  • Base Salary: TBD based upon experience

  • Vacation: 15 PTO days (3 weeks)

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, event management, or related field.

  • Must be 21 years or older with the ability to obtain an alcohol serving license.

  • 2+ years related experience.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop).

  • Experience with Gather/Tripleseat program is a plus.

  • Highly organized with a strong aptitude for planning detailed logistics of events, communicating all details to pertinent stakeholders, and executing day-of onsite event logistics.

  • High level of creativity and keen eye for visual design across multiple mediums (strong digital photography skills a plus!)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Google Drive.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Acute attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines and follow-up urgently to every potential lead.

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups, clients, & coworkers.

JOB DUTIES

  • Manage and maintain new and existing relationships with community organizations, small businesses, press contacts, and accounts to promote the Metazoa taproom brand, programs, events, and initiatives.

  • Consistently and immediately follow up (within 24 hours) on all inbound leads through Tripleseat, updating the software with all pertinent notes and documents.

  • Create, plan, and execute revenue-generating onsite events and promotions while staying within set budgets.

  • Responsible for building relationships with local businesses and clubs, convention organizers, and other groups in order to gain exposure and drive business for the Downtown Taproom.

  • Stay abreast of all local happenings and attack all opportunities to connect those groups and events with the Metazoa taproom.

  • This individual should be keenly aware at all times of what similar local establishments are offering to customers and consistently look for ways to stay relevant and ahead of the competition as far as onsite offerings.

  • Work with other marketing and taproom team members to effectively advertise and promote taproom events and programs (newsletters, printed materials, social media promotions, etc.)

  • Generate and present reports after each program or event has concluded showing an ROI analysis for all associated costs and an objective review of what went well as well as commentary on how the event could be improved in the future.

  • Work with Marketing, Events, and Taproom team members to advertise and promote growth of Metazoa’s Mug Club membership program.

  • Design and execute engaging events for loyalty members to generate increased value for the program.
